The execution of the above mandate by The Gambia National Commission for UNESCO will be guided by a strong belief in the following core values

8. Respect for equitable, accessible and inclusive quality education for all

9. Respect for innovative and creative minds in advancing the cause of education, science, culture, communication and information 

10. Respect for the principles and ideals that underpin youth empowerment and gender equity and equality

11. Respect for the Governance and rule of law
